Dive into a unique, hands-on eco-art experience!
In this playful and tactile workshop, participants discover the art of working with natural elements by crafting their very own botanical sculpture using raw wood and paper clay.
You will be shown step-by-step how to make your own custom-coloured paper clay from scratch. Participants will start with observational drawing of natural plant structures to inspire their designs before learning how to integrate raw wood pieces, sculpt textured vases, and shape organic plant forms inspired by the beauty of the Australian bush.
Duration: 2.5 hours of creation and technique
Who is it for? This workshop is ideally tailored for children aged 9 to 12 years old. However, younger children are very welcome to join if accompanied by an adult to help them with the sculpting and crafting activities, and older kids/teens who love hands-on art are welcome too! Perfect for coming with a group or making new friends!
Important Note: Please bring a box to transport your creation safely home, as the paper clay will not be dry yet.
Takeaway: A stunning, handmade botanical sculpture and vase combining wood and coloured paper clay to take home.
Skills your group will learn:
Botanical Observational Drawing: Developing keen attention to detail by sketching natural plant structures, seed pods, and leaves to translate organic forms into sculptural art.

Surface Design & Texturing: Experimenting with creative techniques to carve, pattern, and texture the clay surfaces for a unique finish inspired by the Australian bush.
