Mel was welcoming, funny and engaging in explaining the process and helpful tips for getting the most flavour from the delicious food that we all made together in the class. Thank you Mel, I will look forward to using your recipes from the cook book that I purchased.
  • 5/5 from Andrew Moore, attended Mar 2026: Lots of fun. Mel is lively and gave us great tips. It's a very busy class and a bit rushed at the end with 15 guest so Mel and her helper did a lot of prep and saved most of the fun stuff for us
  • 5/5 from Michelle Malfitana, attended Feb 2026: My mum and I loved this class & Chef Mel was fantastic. She explained everything well, the recipes were easy to follow (for a novice like myself) and she had a great sense of humour. Would have loved to concentrate on only a couple of the dishes, and if there were less people it would have been even better. Would absolutely love to do another one of her classes though.
  • 5/5 from Maria Burrowes, attended Feb 2026: Chef Mel was amazing - she knew her stuff and made it a really fun night. We were a group of 3 and we all felt we walked away with both new skills and confidence to try cooking the dishes at home. Would definitely recommend and would go again for a different class.
  • 5/5 from Amy Vanderloo, attended Jan 2026: If you're looking for an unforgettable cooking experience, look no further than Mel's Italian cooking class! From the moment you step in, you're not just learning recipes—you're diving into a hands-on culinary adventure with someone who’s as talented as she is hilarious. Mel brings a perfect balance of skill and humor to the class, making it both educational and downright fun. Whether you're a seasoned cook or a total newbie, you'll pick up invaluable cooking tips and tricks. The hands-on approach really sets this class apart—no watching from the sidelines here. You’re fully involved in making everything from fresh Italian pasta to homemade bread, delicate gnocchi, and rich panna cotta. And just when you think it can’t get better, you end the day by learning how to create your very own praline. It’s a sweet finish to an already delicious day! The highlight for me was definitely eating all the dishes together at the end, paired with a few laughs and great company. It’s not just about cooking; it’s about the experience and the joy of sharing great food with others. If you’re even remotely interested in Italian cooking (or just love good food and fun), I highly recommend taking a workshop with Mel. You won’t regret it!
