Looking for relaxing activities in Queensland? Let your worries go at a Shibori and indigo dyeing workshop with Imprint Corner. In this casual class, you will learn how to utilise an indigo dye vat and Shibori techniques to create your own beautiful and unique patterned designs. Class overview:
- Learn how to create and maintain an indigo vat.
- Learn different pattern making techniques; binding, folding, twisting and compressing.
- We utilise folded, tied and clamped resist techniques in the workshop.
- Dye natural fibre goods in an indigo vat.
- All dye materials are provided along with a scarf or linen bag or linen teatowels.
- Instruction will be given on creating a variety of patterns.
- Refreshments are provided. Wear clothes appropriate for dyeing.

Susan is passionate about fermented foods and natural plant based dyeing techniques. She loves teaching her workshop attendees how to make their own organic, artisan crusty sourdough and delicious homemade cheeses. Additionally, Susan’s appreciation of beautiful things and sustainable slow fashion, has led her down a path of exploration and experimentation towards naturally dyed fabrics using food waste and plant-based dyes.
