Beginners Workshop for Expressive Art Journaling

Re-spark joy & support your well-being with creativity

1 hour Class size 1 to 16 guests

$79 (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

This is a hands-on expressive journaling experience suitable for beginners. You will be guided through simple art techniques such as mark-making, scribbling, collage, and the use of colour for nervous system regulation and self-expression.
We centre curiosity and playfulness and explore a variety of art materials for messy, rhythmic, repetitive, and spontaneous personal responses on journal pages.
Create at your own pace and be guided to stay in the process of creative expression rather than making pages that look ‘pretty’, ‘perfect’, or 'correct’.
You will experience:
  • How to get started on blank pages
  • learn ways to respond to lived experiences and cues such as music and nature
  • A variety of mark-making techniques that encourage flow
  • Creative processes that support nervous system regulation
The principles and explorations can be used to establish a daily expressive journaling practice that supports well-being and re-sparks the joy of creativity and self-expression.
Long before I became a Master's-qualified expressive arts therapist, I had a daily art journal practice that nourished me. In this mini journaling workshop, I pair my 15 years of personal journaling with a therapeutic lens of courageous expression and nourishing self.

  • Create at your own pace and make room to breathe, there is no pressure to complete a certain number of pages
