Hi, I’m Emily WestI’m an artisan jeweller and silversmith based at Bendigo Pottery, where I’ve been creating and selling handcrafted jewellery for over 14 years.My creative journey began with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Ceramics) and Honours studies, where I developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, materiality and the handmade process. While my early practice focused on clay, I eventually fell in love with metal and the endless possibilities of transforming recycled silver and gold into wearable art.Teaching has become a natural extension of my practice. I love watching people discover skills they never knew they had and experience the satisfaction of creating something beautiful with their own hands. There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a student leave with a ring they’ve made themselves and a newfound confidence in their creativity.My workshops are intentionally small and relaxed, (Max 4) allowing plenty of individual guidance.
