Learn to create a unique handmade journal in this bookbinding workshop in Brisbane, where you'll master the art of using two different bookbinding techniques.
In this class, you will learn the ancient art of Coptic bind stitch and the decorative French link stitch and how these binds are used together to create one journal.
These books lay flat when open so it's perfect for sketchbooks, journals, scrapbooks, watercolouring, art journals, daily diaries and much more.
I will guide you through the 2.5 to 3-hour session, providing all necessary materials and tools, so you can focus on unleashing your creativity.
We will be using plain 110gsm papers for the insides. You can choose between landscape and portrait. If you have special paper you would like to use (ie. Your favourite watercolour paper) please contact me in advance for measurements.
By the end of the class, you'll leave with a beautiful handmade journal that showcases your newfound skills in bookbinding.
