Not at all! This workshop is about noticing, experimenting and enjoying the creative process rather than drawing perfectly. You'll be given simple prompts and guidance to help you get started.

You’re very welcome! The session is intentionally open-ended, so experienced creatives can take the prompts further, work in their own style or simply enjoy some dedicated time in their sketchbook.

Knowledge required
No previous art experience is required. Complete beginners are very welcome, while more experienced creatives can use the session as dedicated sketchbook time to experiment and develop their own ideas, with guidance available.
What to bring
Nothing is required; art materials will be provided. However, if you already have a favourite sketchbook, paints, pens, pencils, or other materials you enjoy using, you’re very welcome to bring them along and make the experience your own.

Hi, I’m Brittany, the artist, teacher and creative behind Cosy Art Club. I’ve always been drawn to making and creating, and after studying visual art and community arts at Uni, I spent the last five years teaching Prep to Year 12 across Brisbane.My love for mindful watercolour and slow drawing has grown into a gentle creative practice that I now love sharing with others. I’m passionate about creating warm, cosy workshop experiences where anyone, beginners included, can slow down, explore colour, and reconnect with their creativity.Alongside painting, I sew sustainably, upcycle furniture, and have run community art workshops both in Brisbane and rural Queensland. I hope to inspire you to explore your creative rhythm and make art that feels grounding and joyful.
