Cricut Class for Beginners

Learn how to operate your Cricut and get introduced to the design space

1 hour Location Petrie Class size 1 to 100 guests   $75 ($80 per class surcharge applies for private classes) (Afterpay available)

Want to learn how to operate your Cricut? Join Caroline Barber for this hour-long workshop and be introduced to the design space and how to use basic functions. During this class, you'll gain a good understanding of this so that you can successfully use your Cricut machine!
The two Cricut machines we'll be using can cut paper, vinyl, poster board and more. Discover how to engrave some metals and acrylic into your design, plus learn how to cut fabric.
You can use these skills learnt in the class to make wall vinyl, vinyl labels and stickers, papercrafts such as flower making and cards. The advanced class will teach some of these specific skills.
You will learn how to connect and operate either a Cricut Maker or Explore Air. The workshop has one of each, or you are welcome to bring your own. We can assist you to join and connect to the design space.
Your teacher is very flexible with classes so if you need an alternate time please contact them below.
We will also cover:
Design space functions.
How to use these functions.
How to use the tool and banner bars.
At the end of this class, you'll go home feeling much more confident with using design space and your Cricut. We teach both the Maker and Explore Air 2.
You'll also gain the confidence to be able to design your own projects for your machine to cut and make at home!
Pick ups: I need items picked up in 8 weeks as I have insufficient storage space to keep items in the studio. I am happy to post but you need to pay the postage option as I have to pack, assemble and go to the post. Please TEXT to arrange pick up in business hours.

  • 5/5 from Winky Leung, attended Jul 2024: I had a fantastic experience in the Cricut class! Caroline was extremely passionate and knowledgeable, sharing many useful tips and techniques. Her enthusiasm made the class engaging and fun. Even though I haven't bought my own Cricut machine yet, this lesson has convinced me to get one. I now feel much more confident in using it. Highly recommend this class to anyone looking to improve their skills!
  • 5/5 from Jazmin Noble, attended Jun 2024: Booked a cricut beginner class. Teacher was lovely and extremely accommodating for anyone with extra support needs. She tailored it specifically to what I was looking to create and focused on the most important parts as well as great summary of the cricut, other products and possible uses for the machine
  • 5/5 from Louise Porter, attended Mar 2024: As a beginner, there were a lot of projects that I could not navigate. Caroline showed me how to do them all, with clear instructions and excellent support. Such fun.
  • 5/5 from Brooke Little, attended Jul 2023: Great class Caroline personalises the class towards you even got to use my own machine
  • 5/5 from Cheryl Gibbs, attended Feb 2023: Due to illness the tutor had to postpone the class, however this let me have a one on one class. The tutor loaded the appropriate Cricut Program for my machine and gave good instructions on how to use the program, the machine and where to purchase the items needed to use in conjunction with my Cricut machine. She gave me so many ideas on how to use my machine and what to create with it. If you have a Cricut machine, I highly recommend taking this class.
  • 5/5 from Vicki Holcroft, attended Jan 2023: Learnt so much in such a short time frame. Instructor acknowledged my needs and goals.
  • 5/5 from Jenny Sankey, attended Jan 2023: Caroline is a lovely lady. Very helpful and easy to understand. She is very knowledgeable. I loved meeting her.
  • 3/5 from Wendy Raverty, attended Jan 2023: Caroline has great knowledge. Perhaps a hands on project would be better to learn Design Space. A longer time was needed and a handout explaining all of the terms would have been useful.
  • 5/5 from Tony Muller, attended Dec 2022: I just had my 2nd ClassBento with Caroline, learning all the ins and outs of how to operate a cricut machine. I had a lovely bicycle ride to the country to attend today's event. Caroline is all over this subject, and was able to clearly arm me with the info for what I need, to move forward. Money well spent. Even though I was wanting to do something she had not done before. She researched my particular needs prior to today, and came up with the goods. Well done.
  • 4/5 from Anthony Roberts, attended Jun 2022: I found that Caroline presented the subject matter in a relaxed personal manner and adapted to meet my needs from the beginning, which assisted greatly. The venue she has is excellent with its own entrance and attached washroom facilities. She had all the equipment laid out and ready to go. The time flew by and I should have taken more notes but I wanted to grasp as much information as possible. Thanks Caroline.
  • 5/5 from Alex Mills, attended Apr 2022: Caroline, as always is a wonderful host and teacher. I left the workshop feeling more confident to use my cricut.
  • 5/5 from Melissa Parsons, attended Jan 2022: Thoroughly enjoyed this class. Caroline is very knowledgeable and more than happy to share any tips she has. Classroom is comfortable and not crowded. Great value for money.
  • 5/5 from Fernando Claro, attended Jan 2022: Caroline was great since before we started, she asked what were my expectations and issues. She was quite understanding and guide me patiently through my issues and queries. Her workshop was great, she has devoted herself into many other crafts and was very interesting to look around and see what else does she make. Caroline provided materials, showed me and recommended best suppliers and alternative brands. I really liked attending her class and believe it was a great investment as I not only got to learn how to use my cricut machine better but also she solved many of my doubts. Thank you Caroline!
