What you'll do
Join Shelley for a relaxing and creative embroidery class where you'll have the opportunity to unwind and connect with like-minded people.
In this class, you'll create something both decorative and useful using simple embroidery stitches.
Embroidery has evolved beyond the old-fashioned doilies of the past, and now we can become our own contemporary artists. We don't have to make things perfect; we just have to have fun making them with embroidery, colour, and texture.
Shelley will teach you how to create beautiful designs using simple embroidery stitches and high-quality wool felt. We'll be taking inspiration from Wendy Williams' 'Bamboo Steamer Bowl' pattern and using My Felt Lady's 100% wool felt, which does not pill or warp when sewing.
You'll learn how to use a variety of threads to add texture and colour to your project and create a decorative top to fit a seven inch bamboo steamer. The class will run for five hours, with a half-hour lunch break, providing plenty of time to complete your embroidered felt and attach it to the steamer.

Knowledge required
A basic knowledge of simple embroidery stitches is an advantage however not necessary.
