In this course, you will learn the essential techniques and concepts that form the basis of drawing. Each session focuses on a different aspect of drawing, giving you a well-rounded understanding of the craft.
Here's what you'll cover in the five sessions:
- Session 1: Mark making using various drawing media and mastering the use of line.
- Session 2: Explore tone and texture to add depth and dimension to your drawings.
- Session 3: Learn the basics of aerial and linear perspective to create realistic spatial relationships in your artwork.
- Session 4: Develop your ability to construct forms by understanding shapes and proportions.
- Session 5: Discover the art of drawing the face and figure, capturing the unique nuances of human anatomy.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels! I am Ann, and my business name is ann.russell.art. I am based in the north west suburbs of brisbane and have many years experience as a practicing artist and as an arts educator. Over the years, I have helped many people realise their creative potential and develop their own art work as a hobby, profession and for relaxation.
I love to paint in watercolour and mixed media and also create surreal assemblage sculptures using glass, resin, polymer clay and found objects.
I am passionate about helping everyone find their visual language and believe that everyone can paint, draw and develop their own style. I have studied art and education to post graduate level and love to pass on what I have learned to others.
As a practicing artist, I have exhibited locally, interstate and overseas and have been selected as a finalist for a number of prestigious exhibitions.
