What you'll do

If you have struggled with plants time and time again and you want some natural beauty in your house without the hassle then this workshop is for you!

Below is what you can expect to learn from the Flower Dome Workshop :

We Show and discuss how to prepare flower species for long term preservation.
We show and discuss how to prepare flower foam for the dome.
We show and discuss flower arranging and composition to make the most beautiful piece.
We show and discuss how to assemble the dome for completion.

By going through these key topics you will be equipped with ample knowledge to make the most beautiful flower dome! Learning about specific species, care, propagating and long term care will make your springtime the most productive growing season yet!

Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class

Work-Shop is a creative concept that will broaden your horizons and help you unleash your inner awesome. We provide affordable short courses in life skills and alternative art. We’ve teamed up with Australia’s brightest creative minds to share their knowledge and help teach you a new skill. From 3D printing and stencil art through to music and gardening – life skills and personal development through to cooking doughnuts and mushroom foraging, we offer a broad range of fun and creative short courses to suit our time poor lives. We will inspire you to pick up that pen, paintbrush, hammer or sewing machine and flick the switch that will kickstart a whole new way of life.

Community values lie at the heart of our project. We collaborate with local artists and industry experts to teach classes and utilise local suppliers for any materials needed. We also provide a creative environment for emerging artists to produce and sell work, and meet like minded individuals. Work-Shop will be a space for everyone, with a rotating schedule of art shows, information nights on local issues and a whole range of events and community initiatives.

Absolutely loved this class! Bella is both lovely and very knowledgeable in her field. Her willingness to share tips and even where to buy materials has inspired me to go out do more of these in my spare time. I didn't mind the location but being without aircon on such a hot and humid day did make it a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, 10/10.

Bella was great, regularly went around and checked up on all of us! Plus she never limited our own individuality! There was an array of flowers so the dome had a wide selection

This was a great class.
The venue was good, an exceptionally humid evening with no air-conditioning. I'd advise bringing a cold drink to keep you cool in the summer.
I did like the materials, I would maybe have gone with some more neutral colours but having the variety of pinks was fun for our class. And the paper daisies were gorgeous. The amount of materials was amazing - even got to make a little dried flower bouqet to take home :)
I learnt a great deal about how each flower takes to get dried and about the natural dyes that were used to make the colours. Was quite fascinating.
