Drummer.ly is led by Brett Carnes, a professional drummer, teacher and creator of the 7 Day Drummer Jumpstart program. Having first picked up drumsticks at three, Brett’s enthusiasm grew into more than 20 years of playing, including a decade performing with original and cover bands in Sydney’s live music scene.Brett combines his performance experience with a patient, approachable teaching style that makes learning the drums welcoming and enjoyable. At his Castlemaine studio, students learn alongside him on acoustic drum kits, exploring everything from their first beat to favourite songs and more adventurous rhythms. Lessons draw on styles including rock, pop, funk, jazz and metal, with each session shaped around the student’s interests and experience.Whether you’ve always wanted to try the drums or are ready to rediscover your rhythm, Brett looks forward to welcoming you into the studio and sharing his love of making music.
