In this exciting event styling course, you will learn a wide variety of impressive floral styles and techniques for special occasions. You will be presented with the trends and skills necessary in an ever-changing industry!During the course, which is suitable for those who have completed an introduction to floristry, we cover more advanced aspects of floristry with pricing guidelines.Starting with the entrance, creating a beautiful pedestal arrangement and a fabulous archway. We then move on to hanging installations, constructing a garland and in-depth table styling from glassware to tall designs and much more.You will learn styling techniques to create a spectacular atmosphere. Your experienced teacher will show you how to achieve the best effect by demonstrating how to maximise results with flowers and foliage, with an emphasis on details.Day 1: This workshop teaches you how to create your own lovely, large plinth pedestal arrangement. Join our hands-on workshop to find out the secrets of designing and constructing floral styles that bring on the “WOW” factor. Height, balance and impact are the focus. Floral archways and arbours are used to celebrate weddings, anniversaries, award ceremonies, race day functions, christenings, and so much more.Learn from professional florists the construction and techniques involved to create stunning floral archways and arbours that set the tone for a spectacular event. Students are instructed in a variety of models, with and without floral foam, adapting style goals to techniques.Day 3: This workshop is all about getting the “WOW” factor through constructing fabulous visual displays. These floral installations, designed to be hung from the ceiling, make spectacular impact in ceremony spaces, weddings and other special events.Learn from the experts how to create these large-scale designs. Including the foundation, the mechanics behind the structures, the design style, the appropriate foliage and blooms, and finally the finished masterpiece. Be inspired by the latest trends in large installations, construction techniques, and other secrets of event planning. This 3.5 hour master workshop allows students to work collectively on a large-scale installation under the tutelage of our master florists.Day 4: This workshop is all about getting the “WOW” factor through constructing fabulous visual displays.
