Food Skill Workshops cover a range of food preparation techniques. In each class, we'll have a practical demonstration showing how to prepare the foods and a discussion on the foods' history, benefits, and uses.
In this class, we will demonstrate how to make homemade nut milks including almond milk and coconut milk. We will also show how you can adapt the recipe to make other nut milks.

Alma Plate was founded out of a desire to grow our local, sustainable, real and delicious food systems.
A search for ultimate taste and flavour, cleaning up our environment and the impact of food on our health were all paths that led me to champion local sustainable real food.
Recently undertaking a high school teaching journey, I have honed my teaching skills and now have launched my first food education and skills classes.
I have a Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) as well as a newly minted Certified GAPS Coach (CGC) which is a food coaching qualification.
I look forward to teaching all ages cooking and food skills that will bring them many days of pleasure in the kitchen and round the kitchen table with family and friends.
