I’m Lisa Hort, an artist, educator, and founder of Unique Collaborations, with over 15 years’ experience running creative workshops and collaborative projects for all ages—from little ones to older adults. I spent 10 years as an art educator at a regional gallery and now specialise in creative ageing, arts and health, and trauma-informed programs for disaster-affected communities, helping participants reconnect with creativity, each other, and a sense of possibility.
I hold an Associate Degree in Creative Arts and Design, a Diploma of Counselling, and am completing Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy (HICAT) training. I’m a certified Timeslips facilitator and have studied dementia, arts, and wellbeing programs through University of Tasmania and University College London.
My work has been recognised locally, nationally, and internationally, including with a Creative Ageing Award, and I regularly deliver community-focused workshops for non-profits, government, and other organisations. I combine community development, advocacy, and art to create safe, inclusive, and inspiring spaces where everyone can explore their creativity.
Whether in my studio crafting one-of-a-kind glass artworks or facilitating workshops, my goal is the same: to make art accessible, personal, and empowering.
