Judith is a glass artist with 40 years of experience who works primarily with kiln-formed glass. During her long career, she has investigated most areas of glass creation including fusing, slumping, casting, glass blowing, páte de verre and lampworking. After completing her BA at Canberra School of Art she spent several years developing her particular method of traditional French páte de verre before a sea change in the early 1990s saw her establish a new studio in Cairns, Far North Queensland.

During the next 10 years, Judith built the reputation of Studio 8 Glass specialising in limited edition contemporary designer fused and slumped glassware, from a small business to one recognised nationally and internationally. A need to revitalise her creativity resulted in Judith embarking on further research for a Masters of Creative Arts in 2002, the focus of which was glass neck adornment. She presently lives near the rural village of Dallarnil, 25Kms from Childers on the Isis Highway.

She has been lecturing and tutoring on glass throughout Australia and overseas for nearly 30 years. Her glass art is in major public and private collections including WA Art Gallery, Qld Art Gallery and Wagga Wagga National Glass Collection.
