Grounded By Designs is Newcastle’s eco-conscious ceramic studio and workshop space, tucked inside MOA & co in Carrington. Created by photographer and ceramicist Myf Garven, the studio is a place for slow making, creative exploration and community connection.

With a focus on sustainability and hand-building techniques, the studio offers both self-directed sessions and guided workshops. You can drop in to paint a ready-made piece, practise working with clay at your own pace, or book a structured workshop where we create something functional together, step by step. Whether you’re here to play or to learn, each experience is designed to give space to your own creative process.

Myf’s approach to both photography and ceramics is rooted in storytelling, responsible making and crafting spaces where others can express themselves. Grounded By Designs is a natural extension of this intention. It is a studio that celebrates creativity as a way to gather, slow down and make something meaningful.
