Want to experience the best of Hunter Valley beer in one day? This day tour from Newcastle covers all of that and so much more and is perfect for craft beer enthusiasts.

Our brewery tour takes you to three local Hunter Valley breweries, including the likes of Hope Estate and Lovedale Brewery. You’ll learn about the history of each brewing company, and see how they produce their range of unique beverages.

You’ll see the breweries in action, and have a chance to meet some of the team members behind making your favourite beers. Our expert guides will also take you through the process of how different types of beverages are made and share interesting facts along the way.

Where you may go (this is subject to change):

  • Foghorn Hunter
  • Lovedale Brewery
  • Hope Estate
  • Ironbark Hill Brewhouse

You’ll also be able to take time out from beer tasting to relax and take in the magnificent Hunter Valley scenery, as we provide you with an appetizing one-course lunch full of delicious local produce and refreshments. If you’re a beer or cider connoisseur, it’s a must-do in the Hunter Valley!

Departure information:
  • The tour departs Peaberry’s Coffee Roasters (81 Maitland Rd, Islington) at 9.30 am.
  • If you are running late, give us a call but please be on time. Your guide will love you for it!
  • You will return to Newcastle at approximately 5 pm.

Please note:
  • Your guide will inform you of the venue and choice of meals on the day of your tour.
  • If you have dietary requirements ie. lactose intolerant, vegetarian, gluten-free, allergic to nuts or shellfish etc., we will advise the restaurant and they will cater to your specific requirements. Please let us know when booking.

  • The time you arrive back in Newcastle will vary due to traffic conditions and variables out of our control.
  • We are not weather dependent for our tours and therefore will always operate.
  • Because our tours are truly behind the scenes experiences sometimes our plans need to change to accommodate brewery operations. And sometimes we just know about beer goings-on around town that are worth checking out, so we may change some parts of our tours.
  • Whilst these changes are rare, we do reserve the right to make them. If you do have a must-see spot, please let us know when making your booking and we’ll do all we can to make it happen.
Please note: For larger groups of 12 to 20 people, a $500 charter fee will be charged. For any groups larger than 20, please contact us for charter fee prices.

“At Dave’s, we’re all about showing you local as we love it all; food, drinks, history, and culture. Come explore with us on tour!”

Our philosophy is simple – collaboration. We love bringing people together to taste and experience the craftsmanship of our local producers.

Whether that is on a behind the scenes brewery tour, a walk back in time through our pub culture on a pub walk, or a corporate event – everything we do is about connecting more people to local communities.

In doing so, we are supporting the passions and dreams of those who are bringing to market some of the finest products available and making visitors aware of the toil and strife that goes into producing great drinks and food.

To us, it’s more than the art and science. It’s the stories, the legends, the scars of effort and devotion to doing something different. It’s about connecting people who are passionate about what they produce with those who are equally as passionate about what they consume.
