I'm Ngaire, the creator of unique and lightweight jewellery from Kalyca Studio. As a crafting mum who enjoys being creative, I have a passion for making quality, handmade accessories that will elevate your look and are easy to wear.

With a background in the Fashion and Homewares industries, I have enjoyed crafting with polymer clay for around 4 years now. I love to teach others, to share the joy that claying brings, and there is nothing more satisfying than watching clients create magic with their very own hands!

I attended this class with my daughter for her birthday. It was a fantastic location and easy to get to. The restaurant host was very welcoming and the food and drinks high quality and delicious. A very pleasant and relaxing half day where we learnt a lot. We came home and were able to bake the rest of our creations and put them together with no troubles at all. It looks like we have a new hobby now.

We had a great time making jewellery, drinking champagne, and eating delicious food.
Amazing teacher, with loads of knowledge. We took plenty of pieces home, even some we could wear straight away.
Highly recommended to all age groups.

Ngaire helped me with my daughter's birthday party. She is super patient and always happy to answer my questions. She even ordered the cutter for my daughter's birthday theme. Really appreciate the effort. We got a lot of compliments from parents attending the party. I am sure it's a unique experience for all the girls at the party.

For ClassBento, your communication platform is not user friendly at all. Maybe you want to have a better solution to improve customer experience.

Birthday gift for a 7yo and 63yo. Everyone had an amazing time, made heaps of earrings, hairclips, keyrings, and a broach. The 63yo was worried because they aren't creative but all the tools and accessories made it super easy to create beautiful products

Teacher's response

Hello Lana, I appreciate your review. I am so very proud of your group, such a diverse range of ages and experience, but you all created incredible pieces and enjoyed a memorable time together! This warmed my heart, so thank you. Ngaire

I had the pleasure of attending Ngaire's Clay Jewellery Workshop at Kalyca Studio, hosted at the award-winning Little Glass Room Bar & Dining in Mt Gravatt last Sunday. Not only did I have a fantastic time creating beautiful clay jewellery, but I also had the opportunity to indulge in some delicious food.

The workshop took place in the charming and cozy atmosphere of the Little Glass Room Bar & Dining. The venue was tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for the workshop. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that everyone's needs were met throughout the day.

Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by Ngaire's warm and welcoming personality, and her beautiful assistant Meriam. Ngarie made sure everyone felt comfortable and at ease, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. The studio itself was well-lit and spacious, providing the perfect setting for a creative afternoon.

Ngaire began the workshop by introducing us to the basics of clay sculpting. Her instructions were clear and concise, making it easy for beginners like myself to follow along. She shared various techniques and tips, allowing us to explore our creativity and experiment with different shapes and forms.

We were treated to a mouthwatering meal. I decided to try the coconut prawns salad, and it was absolutely delicious. The prawns were perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with the fresh and vibrant salad. It was a delightful end to the workshop, and it set the tone for the rest of the day.

Ngaire expertise and passion for the craft were evident from the start. She guided us through the process of creating our own unique pieces of jewellery, sharing her knowledge and techniques along the way.

Ngaire provided us with a variety of clay colours and tools to work with, allowing us to explore our creativity and experiment with different designs. She offered helpful tips and suggestions, ensuring that each participant felt supported and encouraged throughout the workshop.

What made this workshop even more special was the opportunity to socialise and connect with fellow participants. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the Little Glass Room Bar & Dining made it easy to strike up conversations and share our experiences with one another. It was a wonderful way to meet like-minded individuals and make new friends.

As the workshop came to a close, Ngaire provided us with information on how to properly care for our clay jewellery. She also shared upcoming events and workshops, leaving us inspired to continue exploring the world of clay jewellery making.

Overall, Ngaire's Clay Jewellery Workshop at Kalyca Studio, was a delightful experience. The combination of creating beautiful clay jewellery and enjoying delicious food made for a truly memorable day. I highly recommend attending one of Ngaire's workshops, whether you are a beginner or have some experience with unlimited clay jewellery making. You will leave feeling inspired, with newfound skills and a stunning piece of jewellery to cherish.
