Looking for a fun and creative activity for your child? Look no further than our pottery class on the Sunshine Coast!

This workshop is perfect for children who love to work creatively and enjoy playing with clay. (And let's be honest, who doesn't?)

Your child will learn how to make a beautiful caterpillar dish or other Australian animals using underglazes and a clear glaze.

The class time is divided into two parts to make it more engaging for your child. In the first half, they will have the opportunity to shape and mould their clay. After a quick break, they'll come back to paint their pieces using vibrant and colourful underglazes, adding their own personal touch to their creation to take home.

My name is Diane Stirling (Di) and I work under the name of Di Stirling Pottery. I was first introduced to working with clay when my children were 8 months and 2.5 years old in the early 80s. It has been my love and passion since then.

I completed a three-year Associate Diploma in Ceramics with a fine art component in 1986 and went on to do a one-year residency at the NT Crafts Council followed by having a piece acquired in the Northern Territory Museum of Arts and Sciences permanent collection.

I have since completed a degree in Business Management with an Assessment and Workplace Training module and conducted many pottery classes for children and adults. I just love working with clay and love to share the experience, knowledge, joy and satisfaction that comes with playing with clay.
