Join us for a unique workshop where we’ll delve into the art of transforming paper images while reflecting on the transformations in our own lives. Bring your own printed images or use one of ours as we explore the beauty of change and growth through the process of distressing and recreating images.
We will first tear, crumple and distress images provided, glue them on a cardboard paper together leaving spaces in between and then, use yellow or gold paint to fill in the cracks. This way, you can transform torn and distressed images into stunning new creations that symbolise the beauty and opportunity that arise from adversity and transformation. It’s a powerful and inspiring way to honour our personal journeys.
No prior skills required—just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore and create.
What you'll get
  • Morning/afternoon tea, including gluten-free and vegan options, will be provided.
  • All art supplies are also included.
  • You will take home your beautiful new creation.

I love the arts in all its forms and love the challenge and excitement of creating something new using imagination, intuition and curiosity. My favourite phrase is 'I wonder what will happen if I....?'
I worked for many years as a Speech Pathologist, Teacher (any excuse to use creative arts) and was then a Principal Advisor. When I experienced a significant health challenge I discovered the healing benefits of relaxation, mindfulness and creative arts and rediscovered my love of creating!
I am an accredited HICAT facilitator (holistic, integrated, creative arts therapy) and am also completing a Certificate IV - Mental Health Peer Work.
I love helping others to experience the joy of learning a new skill or discovering a new passion. My workshops will be an opportunity to try something fun and new while exploring a range of different visual art approaches so you can connect with your own inner artist and enjoy the wellbeing benefits this brings!
