Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with urushi lacquer, then sprinkling gold on top.
This beginners Kintsugi class uses an original technique designed by Kintsugi Australia to make it easy for anyone to use the modern Kintsugi technique.
In this class, you will learn the basic techniques of Kintsugi using modern materials such as epoxy glue and putty. Whether you're a beginner or you have some experience, you will be guided by Jun Morooka step-by-step through the process.
By the end of the class, you can take home your completed plate, ready to add a special charm to your home.
