What you'll do
Looking for unique things to do in Newcastle? Our limited-time make a vase class is an immersive two-and-a-half-hour journey where you'll learn the art of hand-building as you sculpt, shape, paint and decorate your own unique ceramic vase.
You'll have the freedom to choose from two captivating colours and it gets even better with the glazing process included in the class price, your vase will be professionally fired, resulting in a functional and stunning piece of art.
We will supply all the clay and tools needed to create your own ceramic clay vase as well as underglazes to paint your pieces and we will fire and glaze them ready for you to collect in roughly 3-4 weeks after your class date. The glaze will be a clear glaze for inside your vase.
Please note:
- Children under 18 can attend if accompanied by an adult
- Mezze board orders must be placed 48hrs prior to the class start time
- Any dietary requirements (Gluten Free, Celiac etc) must be emailed 48hrs prior to the class start time. Fees may apply if notified after.
If you left your items to dry or be fired in our studio, You'll get an SMS when they're ready for pickup. Please be sure to label your pieces and show us a pic to make it an easy collection for everyone. If you're taking your creation home, let it air dry for 4 weeks for best results. Shipping? Yes! Just $15 if you live in NSW and $18 for the rest of Australia. Please contact the team to arrange if you'd like us to post your pieces to you when they're ready.
*Work may crack or even explode during kiln firing; we do not offer refunds for such instances. If your piece is mistakenly picked up by someone else, we regret we cannot offer refunds. Ensure your name is clearly marked on your work.
