Recent reviews of Make a Vase Pottery Class

  • 4/5 from Leanne, attended Sep 2026: I haven't made anything since school so it was great to play around with clay
  • 4/5 from Jennifer Scheuer, attended Sep 2026: Great class! Might have been easier if it wasn’t 3 different classes in together, but our teacher did a great job helping all!!
  • 5/5 from Suzanne Bowe, attended Aug 2026: Very easy relaxing afternoon with the ladies who had the team of the Art Department staff confidently keeping us busy. Enjoyed getting my vase completed even though it was on a lean but that’s hand mad pottery.
  • 5/5 from Zeba Aiyub, attended Oct 2025: Our teacher was very helpful and guided as along throughout the process as we made our vases. If we had any questions or got stuck anywhere, she helped us out immediately. Loved the variety of textures and bases you could use to create the vases.
  • 5/5 from Karen Woulfe, attended Sep 2025: We had a great time at our make a vase class this morning. Saffron was very clear with instructions and more than happy to help everyone with ideas and assistance when needed. Thoroughly recommend The Art Department and ClassBento!
  • 4/5 from Kellie Dyson, attended Sep 2025: We were underprepared as we had booked for make a vase but ended up in a class where we could make anything. It took us a while to work out what we were doing
  • 5/5 from Laura Becker, attended Mar 2025: Stress free fun! Relaxing and welcome atmosphere and the staff/teachers are so lovely and helpful
  • 5/5 from Taneisha Alsleben, attended Feb 2025: Every year my mother and I try something new as my Christmas present to her. This year we did the handmade vase class. We both agree it's one of the best experiences we have had yet! The young ladies running the course were welcoming, organised, well spoken, and more than happy to help. The space and equipment were well maintained and easy to use/access. As for design inspiration, there were plenty of options for those wanting to be brave and try something different, as well as ideas and help for those a little less confident. Personally, I was pretty nervous going in at what I would be able to create (my last experience making a vase in high school resulted in a tiny pinched pot that barely holds a thimble), but I absolutely love what I made!!! Not only will I be recommending the class to anyone who will listen, but I will also be coming back to do the 5 week course! I absolutely loved everything about the day!!
  • 5/5 from Alison Taylor, attended Oct 2024: I was very happy with the class. All materials supplied were of excellent quality. There was plenty of room for creative freedom. Molly was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Loved my first class.
  • 5/5 from Cath Farnell, attended Oct 2024: A wonderful experience so friendly and relaxing. I went on my own and met such lovely people the time just flew. Molly was an amazing instructor so cheerful and positive. Highly recommend
  • 5/5 from Zore Scholz, attended Jul 2024: Amazing, great class, atmosphere, great teachers and a lovely vibe in the city, not in any cold shed Loads of tools and glazing options
  • 5/5 from Sharon Barnett-Beau, attended Jun 2024: We thoroughly enjoyed the “Make a vase “ class, you had the freedom to create your own style vessel. The teacher was very supportive. A great night out.
  • 4/5 from Mon Kelly, attended Oct 2023: Fun session, a little pushed for time. Would have been great to have an extra 30 mins to complete painting our new vases and finish off calmly. Everyone scrambled at the end that made the experience a little stressful and not as relaxing as it was at the start. I thought the session ran 5.30-830 but we started packing up around 7.45 to finish at 8.
