I learnt specific piping techniques such as creating swirls, flowers and using different colours.. The best part was to share the delicious cake with my family. Thank you so much for running the class.

Lesley explained all the techniques really clearly making it easy to follow her instructions. The room was a little small and cramped for 12 participants, so a alightly larger room might have helped. Also some signage would have assisted finding the location of the class in the building. All-in-all, though, a great clas. Thank you!!

  • 5/5 from Brenda Lam, attended Oct 2023: Lesley was really lovely and helpful. Her instruction is clear and easy to follow. At 1st I thought why we need 2 hours for this workshop but turns out it was actually fast-paced :) Lovely to be there with every body learning new thing. Hope to be back for her cupcake class. The only downside is the facility is a bit old and the restroom is not nice. Hope we can have a better location next time. But the experience is worthwhile.

I would not hesitate to recommend this course or Lesley as a teacher.

  • 5/5 from Pam Wiley, attended Jul 2022: We had an awesome time and learned some great cake decorating skills. Great teacher and lovely assistant. Both were warm, encouraging and helpful giving lots of extra help when required. (Particularly for the 12 year old) LOVED that they were able to provide Gluten free options too. Really happy with the class and the cakes/skills we walked away with and it was such a fun Mother/daughter activity to do. Thankyou! ️
  • 5/5 from Vicki Dando, attended Jul 2022: Both Lesley and Liz were very professional in terms of their skill, knowledge and experience. The venue was relatively clean and tidy given its long standing existence and use as a niche craft space. While I wasn't cold, I anticipate heating would be useful dependent upon the hall's use by the community. I can't comment on whether the class was value for money as I haven't undertaken any similar classes to inform a cost comparison. I anticipate however, that many craft classes of this nature are of a similar cost. This may be slightly more expensive but the team does travel from Sydney to Canberra and therefore there are associated costs with same. Both Emma and I enjoyed the class - it was initially a 'something to do' on a Saturday afternoon for both of us. We loved being creative which is something Emma is particularly good at when the opportunity arises. Our shared experiences continue to be a source of Mother/Daughter time that I always look forward to. I would highly recommend both Lesley and Liz to anyone considering an introductory class regarding cake decorating. Thank you both Lesley and Liz and we might even come back - the chocolate drizzle cake sounds amazing - and I can eat the leftovers too whether I'm allowed to or not! LOL Take care, Vicki and Emma

  • 5/5 from Michelle Swadling, attended Nov 2021: Such a great class! I walked away feeling like I had learnt a lot! I can’t wait to do another class!
  • 5/5 from Cresley Wheeler, attended Nov 2021: This is our second class- my 11 yo daughter has done both classes. Leslie has such a skill in breaking down seemingly impossible things to easily achievable. The end result cakes on both occasions were truely amazing. A great class, beautiful location and highly recommended for absolute beginners or beyond.
  • 5/5 from Jan Bartlett, attended Nov 2021: This class gave me exactly the knowledge I was looking for regarding butter cream. Lesley provided quality products and easy to follow tuition, with plenty of tips of were to buy tools and food colourings. I was very impressed with my finished cake. This course makes for a great gift or a relaxing therapeutic afternoon. Thanks Lesley
