Hi, I'm Nancy - artist, maker and lover of breakfasts. Creating is my pathway to joy and mindfulness and I am so grateful that I took the leap to be a creative entrepreneur.

I founded my art school and creative business, Nancie Lane, in 2020. Our Brisbane design studio creates and designs fresh, inspiring and vibrant art, stationery, gifts and decorative wares for home and business spaces.

The soul behind each artwork is inspired by slow mindful living, authentic community connections and acceptance. Translating these values into art and products for home and business life empowers our customers to create spaces and rituals that allow them to retreat and nurture relationships with self, others and recover a sense of peace and gratitude.

I had the most beautiful watercolour workshop with Nancie in her fabulously arty shop!
Nancie made me feel really comfortable from the start, so I was able to gain confidence quickly in applying paint to paper.
I spent the whole session with a huge grin on my face, and came out with a very cute painting!

Nancie made this beginner watercolour class fun and relaxing, I enjoyed the icebreaker questions at the beginning and Nancie was friendly and very encouraging throughout. The shop the class was held in was lovely, easy parking in shopping centre carpark and toilets close by, great spot. Materials provided were all great. This class as a one-off was good value for money in my opinion, we went over the allocated time and there was no pressure to wrap things up. I learnt simple beginner techniques and we painted a couple of small projects, a flower and tree scene. I loved how Nancie saw something beautiful in every student's work, and built confidence! I wish I'd been able to attend the entire five days, but could only do one class as I was visiting from interstate. Day 1 was great alone though!

My daughters had a wonderful experience with Nancy. They had to experience making different shapes out of clay. The place was full of art works and interesting paintings. Nancy was really nice, friendly, and funny. I definitely recommend taking this workshop.
