Join this fun and flowy watercolour class in Brisbane and learn how to paint bright and beautiful Australian birds!
Your super-talented and supportive teacher, Carlie Edwards of Earthdrawn Studio has been running this popular and uniquely designed workshop for the past three years and is passionate about guiding you through the painting process, introducing you to a wonderful world of watercolour and helping you to create a lovely piece of art to take home.
Working in a relaxed, fun and encouraging studio environment, you'll learn a number of techniques for mixing and applying watercolours using some of the most gorgeous vibrant colours on offer. Painting our Aussie feathered friends in loose, flowing colours is a beautiful skill to learn, and is the perfect way to introduce you to the mesmerising art of watercolour!
You will learn:
- How to apply watercolours.
- Tools and techniques to achieve special effects.
- Tips and tricks for navigating 'happy accidents'.
- Colour mixing, colour theory and how to choose colours for your artwork.
As well as all your art materials, morning tea is provided to help you relax into your class. Carlie will also provide you with a special guide to take home after your workshop. You'll soon be transported to a world of creativity and colour in this mindful painting activity. This is a lovely class for anyone looking for fun things to do in Brisbane, and it's ideal for beginners, giving you a gentle introduction to watercolour painting.
