In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn how to take spectacular night photos with the guidance of an award-winning commercial photographer Robert Filippi! Robert will teach you great tips on how to take stunning night photos and how to use the manual settings on your camera, so you can be in full control and obtain the results you want.

In the photography workshop, we will cover:

  • Manual mode
  • Focus at night
  • Colour balance
  • ISO
  • Creative applications
  • Portrait photography
  • Cityscapes
  • Light trailing

This photography class is designed for you to learn a range of settings for all different types of night photography. You'll be given the knowledge to be able to capture anything at night from fireworks to night-portraits.

What you'll get
Two-hour tuition with an award-winning commercial photographer and your own photos from the class.
 
What to bring
  • An external flash if your camera does not have an inbuilt one
  • Camera manual downloaded on your phone or hard copy if handy
  • Film or digital camera of which you have a basic working knowledge and your camera manual (if you are using film, please let us know ahead of time)
  • One empty 4GB or larger memory card or 2 x 36 roll of film
  • Fully charged battery
  • Your booking confirmation (on your phone or printed out)

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 14 years old). Adult accompaniment is not required.

Renowned professional photographer Penny Koukoulas has combined her professional photography skills with teaching. She enjoys passing on practical guidance, helpful feedback and clever tips for producing memorable images.

She first picked up her camera at the age of seven and shared her passion for photography with her father. Penny has been working in the photography industry for over 25 years. The first job she landed was working as a professional photographic printer. With a continued passion for photography, she has worked as a professional photographer since 1996 and has been enjoying teaching photography since 2007.
