Recent reviews of Photography Class for Beginners

  • 5/5 from Sam Hansen, attended Aug 2026: I did this course with my 14 year old nephew and we loved it. There was a bit of theory at the start and then we were out applying the lesson, walking around various parts of Brisbane. Robert was a great teacher and good with teens and adults. My only suggestion would be to have cameras in hands for the theory part to immediately understand / apply each part of the exposure triangle.
  • 5/5 from Ian Paterson, attended May 2026: Robert was extremely informative and generous with his time. I came away much more confident with my camera and how to take advantage of its functions. Highly recommend for beginners of all levels.
  • 5/5 from Amy Ballard, attended Feb 2025: Robert was a great teacher and was very informative.
  • 5/5 from John Mulder, attended Feb 2025: Robert made everything very simple and easy to understand. Gift card was easy to setup Thanks John
  • 5/5 from Emma, attended Aug 2023: The beginners class with Robert was really good. I was fortunate to be in a small group of 3 so could get plenty of feedback and hear everything easily. Robert was welcoming and good at explaining concepts. He was generous with his time and advice. I had thought I was signing up to a beginners manual photography course, but this was actually exactly what I needed to start getting more out of my DSLR and understand how to change the auto settings depending on the photo I want to take. Wear comfy shoes; there's a lot of standing and walking. Would recommend.
  • 5/5 from Leonie Webster, attended Jun 2023: Teacher was great. Patient and very knowledgeable. I learnt a lot about my camera & it's functions.
  • 5/5 from Angel Cobos, attended Apr 2023: Great teacher, small group and clear basic concepts that you need when starting using your camera. The explanation was clear and inmediately you practise with the supervision of the teacher. He even exceeded the time explaining the concepts and replying our questions.
  • 4/5 from Felicity Lewis, attended Oct 2022: Very knowledgeable and the class was fantastic - going to different environments was great. I learnt heaps about my own camera
  • 4/5 from Cathy Hill, attended Sep 2021: Only 2 participants in the class so was very personalised and hands on. Lots of walking so wear comfy shoes
  • 4/5 from Alexander Hendry, attended May 2021: This course was a great, simple introduction to photography. I learnt a lot and feel more confident trying new things with my camera.
