Polymer Clay Bead Workshop

2 hours Class size 1 to 10 (public classes), 4 to 30

label $45 (or 4 payments of $11.25 Afterpay)

Join us at Albany Creek Library on Sun, Apr 28, 2024, at 2:00pm for a fun and creative event where you can make your own polymer clay bead necklace!

I will teach you how to work with polymer clay to design a unique piece of jewellery that you can wear or gift to a friend. You will get to choose from over 20 different colours of clay so the possibilities are endless.

Who is this workshop for?
This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners or those who fancy a relaxing and creative morning. Children over 12 are welcome, with an accompanying adult. Polymer clay is slightly firm so please note that you will need some healthy hand strength.

I will show you:

  • The differences between polymer clays
  • How to condition and colour mix with polymer clay
  • A variety of construction techniques
  • Finishing tips and tricks
  • How to use scrap clay and other sustainable tips and tricks to use plastics responsibly and sustainably

What is included?
I provide all materials and instruction and light refreshments for morning tea. You will come away with a necklace and your polymer clay beads. We often also are able to swap spare beads between workshop members so this is a great way to make new friends!

NOTE: When you leave, you will need to bake your beads in a conventional oven. This is perfectly safe to do in a home oven and we will also provide you with a sealant to put on your beads so they will last.

Useful to know:
  • Please let me know ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions.
  • I will be taking photographs during the session. Please let me know if you do not want to appear in social media.
