Pottery Wheel Throwing Block Course

So you’ve had your first ever pottery lesson and you’ve fallen in love with it? Or you just want to take the plunge and enjoy a block set of workshop classes created especially for you? Either way, we can’t wait to help fall in love with the art of creating with clay!

Each block course is created individually to introduce you to new pottery skills, and build on them as you develop. Classes are developed to include exposure to a growing set of skills on the wheel, along with exposure to pottery finishing skills such as turning and trimming bases, and finally glazing your wares to create your final finished masterpieces - each unique to you!

The wonderful feeling you will experience each time you use your beautiful, handmade pieces will bring you joy for years to come.

If you’ve visited our studio before, you’ll know our rustic and relaxed environment immerses you in nature, surrounded by trees and overlooking the beautiful Moreton Bay. Perfect to continue your journey in all things mud and clay!

Block courses are by arrangement, and usually set out over four seperate sessions, so please feel free to message us at anytime - we love creating experiences to remember and we’re very happy to work with you to sort out dates and times that suit.

Suitable for people who have completed their initial introductory wheel throwing lesson with us, or suitable for absolute beginners who want to jump in and really get to know and love clay! :)
 

• All materials and tools
• Filtered chilled water, tea or coffee
• Your individual completed pieces, which will be bisque fired initially and then glaze fired following your last block workshop lesson

• Comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty (although you’ll be provided with an apron, you will get clay on your clothes)
• Closed in shoes
• Long hair must be tied back, fingernails should be trimmed short, and jewellery and watches should be removed

After the first session, subsequent sessions can be arranged with the teacher, at a time that suits you.
