What you'll do

The passion for baking and cooking started in childhood for Janet Newton during the long Christmas holidays she spent baking with a Czechoslovakian family friend, Irene. During this time, the family was provided with an endless supply of traditional tarts, slices, biscuits, and cakes.The wonderful love of sharing food with family and friends was born out of these one-on-one cooking lessons and is the inspiration behind the opening of The Yellow Door Kitchen.Janet trained as a Pastry Chef at the famous Le Cordon Bleu cooking school and has many years of experience working in restaurants and patisseries. Her ability to combine flavors and her passion for baking is infectious and will ensure students are transported into a wonderful, creative world of cooking during her classes.
