3 hours Class size 8 to 18 guests       $200

Looking for fun things to do in Brisbane? Awaken your inner artist and let loose in this hands-on resin art workshop as you design your own river table tray and coaster set from start to finish.
During this fun and interactive workshop, you will be shown different pouring techniques to create mesmerising swirls of colour as you'll be surprised by your own creativity!
Enjoy a couple of hours with some friends or go solo as you sip on your favourite drink and let your imagination run wild. Your experienced guide will teach you how to mix the colours to create a beautifully unique resin river table tray and coaster set personalised to your own colour palette.
You can choose from:
  • Set of four resin coasters
  • River board (Ocean Theme)
  • River board (Dried Floral Theme)
You will be able to pick up your piece of art in two weeks, once the resin has completely dried. So roll up your sleeves and create a unique artwork to brighten up your living space and home.
Please note
  • Although your teacher will plane your board, route the edges and give a light sand after the workshop, there will still be a little bit of preparation to do at home after you pick up your boards. We will have a take-home kit available for purchase when you pick it up or on the night.
  • This resin takes up to a week to completely dry and then there will be some prepping to get your board ready to take home. You can pick up two weeks after the workshop or they can send your pieces to you once dry for an extra $15.

  • 5/5 from Rachael Paech, attended Aug 2024: I learnt how they made the boards and how I can do it at home. She was very considerate of my indisicivness and gave me plenty of time to think and ponder what I wanted to do. I think the boards are gorgeous and cannot wait to get mine back. This is a perfect date idea. You can go together and make one board. You need to be able to make decisions together though but it was a lovely experience.
  • 5/5 from Frances Ede, attended Aug 2024: Thanks so much. Sarah and I love the workshop the info was so fabulous and gave us lots of personal knowledge that Sarah and I muscly appreciate. Your time and skills of running this call was just what we were wanting. Thanks again. Sarah and Frances
  • 5/5 from Kyle Brault, attended May 2024: Fantastic night, the instructor was engaging and fun, the products available to us to make our designs were extensive with so many options it took a while to decide what we wanted. Our group will definitely be back at DIY Invasion for another class.
  • 4/5 from Belinda Venables, attended Mar 2024: Loved doing the river board. I did the sea shells and had a good selection to choose from. For the people who chose the dried flowers I felt they would have benefited from a selection of larger individual flowers. Disappointing that the coasters were not offered although they are in the class description.
  • 1/5 from Alison Pokarier, attended Feb 2024: I did this class on 3 Feb and still haven't received my completed River Board and it's April. I was "shocked" to find out at the Workshop that if I wanted my piece finished then it would cost minimum $70.00 above the asked price. Tammy, the teacher is non-contactable and won't reply to my messages. I'm still yet to receive my completed piece. I don't recommend Tammy at DIY Invasion as Tammy is completely unprofessional, not upfront and neither honest. Very disappointing.
  • 5/5 from Jacquie Estreich, attended Dec 2023: Absolutely fantastic, totally organized very professional plenty of time to complete your piece. Our teacher was very knowledgeable easy to talk to and the place was well equipped stunning presentation all around the room and a perfect area plenty of parking good drink quiet and accessible. The finished product is so beautiful Thankyou

  • 5/5 from Petra Hatu, attended Sep 2023: Suitable venue and variety of materials. The work in progress was explained very well. Materials were ready to be worked with. Maybe a friendly welcome greeting to the group while everyone was waiting with the later start wouldn't go astray Overall I enjoyed the workshop.
  • 5/5 from Patrick Wright, attended Sep 2023: Class was great, very cheap considering all the prep work and material cost. Tammy was a lovey teacher who was happy to share her wealth of experience with resin. Fantastic way to get in and give resin art a go without all the hassle of learning the details of this nuanced art form.

  • 5/5 from Bernadette Smyth, attended Jun 2023: Tammy was fab. She was very knowledgeable and could answer all questions thrown at her, and she patiently guided us every step of the way. It was a fabulous night. I would thoroughly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Kerry-Ann Munro, attended Mar 2023: I have been wanting to make a river board for such a long time. I had done a few Resin classes previously and I was working myself up to achieving this goal. The teacher at DIY Invasion was amazing. She was so patient and she explained everything slowly and precisely. I really loved the venue and having a cafe attached was a bonus. Now I know that I can do it I've already got an idea of the next one I'd like to complete. The photo attached is before setting and oil applied.
