What you'll do
Join us for a unique watercolour painting class in Hawthorn and learn how to paint a sea turtle! In this class, you'll get to experience the clean, bright colours of Reeves watercolour paint, ranging from rich, fully saturated colours to the delicate beauty of a gentle wash.Guided by your friendly teacher, learn how to create a dynamic range of colours from a carefully selected limited palette of five colours to capture the gentle glory of the sea turtle gliding through the waters.
- Use the colours: Lemon Yellow Hue, Alizarin Crimson Hue, Ultramarine, Turquoise, and Indian Red by themselves and to mix a beautiful range of oranges, dusky purples, and greens.

- 5/5 from Sam Beaumont, attended Sep 2026: Absolutely loved this class….and the finished result! The teacher was very knowledgeable and gave us some great advice. It was a relaxing and fun morning, and I would recommend to anyone…even beginners will get a lot out of this class!
- 5/5 from Jan Watman, attended Sep 2026: Fabulous art class, clear instructions by artist and everyone's results were amazing - all individual
- 5/5 from Sheila Weatherley, attended Sep 2026: Was fantastic thoroughly enjoyed the class would recommend to anyone! A great way to spend a few hours
- 4/5 from Suzie Adams, attended Sep 2026: Teacher was well prepared and very approachable. Having the process and colour information printed out was a great way to reference back. However, having the info laid out meant others around you rushed ahead which I felt that people were just doing their own thing rather than it being a class where the teacher was able to show a step and explaining technique before the class moved on to the next. In saying that the teacher did ask who had done watercolour before which most had so perhaps she felt people could do at pace and ask questions if needed - just a different way than I’m use to. I was happy to be introduced to using masking fluid and thoroughly enjoyed my time
