My journey started with a single painted piece of furniture over 9 years ago. What began as a little project at home quickly turned into a creative obsession. I fell in love with the transformation process — taking something old and forgotten, and giving it a new life with paint, texture, and character. That one moment sparked a passion that’s never faded, and now I can’t imagine doing anything else.
I absolutely love teaching because I get to witness those “aha!” moments — when someone discovers their own creative spark. It’s incredibly rewarding to see students walk in unsure and walk out confident, inspired, and proud of what they’ve made. Plus, sharing my tips and tricks means others can avoid the mistakes I made in the early days!
A lot of people don’t realise how much heart goes into what we do. Behind every finished piece is a whole journey — choosing the right products, layering techniques, adjusting when things don’t go as planned. It’s part art, part problem-solving. I’ve even been known to mix my own wax tints or create moulds from scratch for truly unique finishes. And yes, I’ve painted just about everything… except my dog (so far)!
I’ve been in this creative industry for over 9 years and am proud to be a Brand Ambassador for Redesign with Prima which is one of the large craft brand in the world! I’m also the only stockist in Brisbane for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Dixie Belle, and I’ve taught countless workshops — from intimate beginner classes to team events and advanced styling sessions. I don’t run workshops often, but when I do, they’re packed with real techniques, good laughs, and hands-on learning. You always leave with more than just a painted piece.
