4 hours Location Soldiers Point Class size 1 to 2 guests   $350 - $500 ($500 per guest when you book for 1 guest, $350/guest for 2 guests) (Afterpay available)

In this exciting shell sandcasting workshop in Soldiers Point, you will learn how to make a shell pendant using a natural shell in Sterling Silver.
This class is designed for beginners, and Lauren will walk you step by step through the process. This workshop is available for private bookings only for 1-2 people to ensure you get the most out of your time.
There is a range of shells to choose from in the studio, or you may bring your own (no bigger than a 5c piece).
During the workshop, you'll learn how to pack the sand mould, imprint your shell and pour molten silver into your prepared mould (this can sometimes take a few tries). We will then remove the excess silver, attach a jumping and polish your new personally made shell pendant for you to wear out of the studio that same day.
This hands-on activity will ignite your imagination and leave you with a sense of accomplishment.
Please allow a bit of extra time in case the workshop runs over.

I learnt the processes in producing a silver pendant from sand casting, including cutting, filing, cleaning and polishing. Our teacher Lauren was fantastic, so patient and knowledgeable. The venue was perfect and the materials were just what we will be using in the school with the students. I liked the sand casting process and polishing the most. Thank you.
