I have been making jewellery for close to 30 years. I have spent many years teaching in schools, and love nothing more than sharing my knowledge with others.My journey with metal began when I enrolled in a Bachelor of Education in Visual Arts in Melbourne, majoring in metalwork. Back then I loved working with copper and used to create large scale sculptural pieces. A sculpture studio however, was not a practical option when I discovered my love of travel. So, I started working on a much smaller scale, swapping sculpture for jewellery. My jewellery tools all fit into a decent sized case that I took everywhere!After 11 years abroad, I found myself back in Australia with a couple of children in tow. After too many years of cold weather, Brisbane was the perfect place to call home. I now love nothing more than being in my studio, creating.
