All we had to do was turn up with and coffee, tea, snacks and everything needed was provided. We all enjoyed the day and Mel made sure the kids were involved made the steps very easy to follow.

Also running 2 different classes (one soap making and one candle making) at the same time (with the same instructor) isn’t ideal. One pair of scissors at the end to decorate gift bags between approximately 12 people also doesn’t work to well. Lastly the picture use to promote the class looks nothing like what you make. Trying to give constructive feedback to make it a better experience for all involved.

A separate class was being held at the same time as our class. And there was only one pair of scissors for the whole room. Definitely room for improvement.

Mel's creativity and extensive knowledge about the different soap making methods truly impressed me. She guided us through the process with utmost patience. The use if a thermometer definitely made it easier. The range of fragrances, natural oils, and colors that Mel provided were absolutely fabulous. We all enjoyed experimenting with the variety of fun and beautiful moulds available. The venue itself was easy to locate and spacious, with the added convenience of a restroom. To top it off, we were treated to a delightful selection of different coffees, teas, and a mouthwatering homemade cake. Considering the quality of the workshop and the amount of joy it brought us, it was definitely great value for money. Each participant went home with an abundance of gorgeous soaps, a true testament to Mel's guidance and expertise. One of the highlights for me was witnessing the other artists in the workshop create their own unique designs, using various colors and essential oil combinations. It was truly inspiring. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to create their own natural soaps for their families and grandchildren, while avoiding harmful chemicals. Mel's workshop is a haven for creativity, learning, and building a healthier lifestyle.

I got some great advice about soap making with exfoliants and was pleased to try out some new fragrances. I feel confident now to go home and experiment with creating swirls in my melt and pour soaps. I'm looking forward to attending Mel's next classes especially the gemstone pillar candle and the compress soap.

Six were a basic rectangular shape/size, the remainder from a decorative mould of our choice. We were able to choose our own colours and fragrance and soooo many choices.
