Succulent Pot Workshop

Create textures and patterns with natural clay.

1.5 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests

$64 (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Join us for a hands-on session where you will learn the fundamentals of hand-building. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will discover the pinching technique to shape, texture, and create your very own custom pot, perfectly suited for a succulent.
We focus on the essential skills of working with clay, giving you the confidence to craft a unique piece from start to finish. Once you take your finished, fired pot home, you will have the joy of creating your own personal succulent composition to display in your space.
What you will learn:
  • The basics of the pinching technique.
  • How to structure and shape your pot.
  • Methods for adding organic textures to your design.
What you will get
All clay and tools provided.
Expert guidance in a small group setting.
Your unique, hand-built pot (includes professional firing).
What to bring:
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit of clay on.
The science behind the design:
We will focus on crafting vessels with high porosity. This raw, breathable clay texture is highly functional—it allows for optimal root aeration and prevents moisture retention, creating the perfect, healthy micro-environment for succulents and cacti to thrive.
The drying and firing process may take up to 6 weeks, but we offer the convenience of posting for a flat fee of $10
What you'll get
A pot for your succulants (after firing)

Bio
Professional Ceramicist & Instructor (10 Years Experience)
Based in the heart of Maleny, I am a professional ceramicist with over a decade of experience dedicated to the craft of intentional, slow-made art. My practice is rooted in the belief that pottery is a natural dialogue between the hands and the clay—a grounding way to reconnect with your creativity.
In my studio, I specialize in the art of hand-building and pinching, as well as my signature "drawing with clay" technique using liquid porcelain. I believe that even a beginner’s first piece should be a piece you are truly proud of.
My workshops are designed to be calm, welcoming spaces where we focus on quality and gentle learning, rather than perfection.
My mission is to offer more than just a class; I provide a space to slow down and create. Whether you are learning to shape your first succulent pot or exploring the depth of organic textures, my workshops are designed to help you leave with a piece that reflects both your own expression and a solid foundation of skills.
Join me in my Maleny studio for a peaceful, hands-on experience that connects you to the timeless tradition of working with clay.
