Sewing has been my life's work, and I am now enjoying teaching what I have learned over a lifetime and passing on my knowledge and love for this practical and useful skill. I learned to sew at my mothers side when I was a kid. I built on what she taught me by working in the fashion industry and later went on to study Fashion Design. I obtained my Diploma of Arts (fashion) in 1993. since then, I have worked as a Sample Machinist, Alterations Specialist and done Made-to-Measure Dressmaking for clients. Currently, I design and make my own Slow Fashion label which I sell at markets around Brisbane. I am a very patient and encouraging teacher, and I want to share the knowledge I have built up over my 40 years of professional sewing with you. We can all experience the satisfaction of making a garment we can wear.
