Part 2 of our Boro Bag journey is where your slow stitching begins to take shape—quite literally. Having spent time between sessions layering and stitching your fabric panel, this workshop focuses on transforming your work into a beautifully constructed, functional bag.
Together we will:
  • Refine and stabilise your stitched panel
  • Learn bag construction techniques
  • Assemble and finish your Boro Bag with care
  • Explore simple details that elevate the final piece
This session is designed exclusively for participants who attended Boro Bag Part 1 and have been working on their stitched panel in between. There’s something deeply satisfying about seeing a slow, thoughtful process come together—honouring the hours of handwork and turning them into something practical and personal.
Small group. Guided instruction. Time to complete your piece well. Bring your stitched panel and we’ll complete the journey together.
Beginners and experienced stitchers are warmly welcome—no prior experience needed.
What you'll get
All materials needed to construct and finish your Boro Bag, bringing your stitched panels from Part 1 together into a completed piece.

Hi, I’m Alison, a creative workshop facilitator with over 30 years of experience in the craft and creative industries.
Throughout my career I’ve worked across many creative mediums including textiles, slow stitching, mixed media, paper craft and decorative crafts for the home. I have run a craft business for many years and have taught numerous workshops and creative gatherings for people wanting to explore their creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Teaching is the part of my work I love most. Seeing someone discover a new skill, gain confidence, and leave with something they are proud of is incredibly rewarding.
My workshops focus on accessible, beginner-friendly projects that allow participants to explore creativity without pressure. I am especially passionate about slower, mindful crafts such as slow stitching, paper flowers and small decorative art pieces that encourage people to pause, focus and enjoy the creative process.
Students often tell me they appreciate the relaxed atmosphere of my workshops and how inspiring it is to create alongside others. Each class becomes a small creative community where ideas are shared and everyone’s work turns out beautifully unique.
Whether you are completely new to crafting or simply looking for a creative afternoon, my aim is for you to leave feeling inspired, relaxed and excited to keep creating.
