Step into a world of rustic elegance and creativity with the fourth of our Embellished Series - The Embellished Pear Workshop. In this hands-on wire sculpting art class, you'll transform a supplied pear frame using recycled Australian fencing wire into a one-of-a-kind decorative piece, charming, whimsical, and uniquely you. Perfect for adding character to your home, balcony, veranda, or garden. Your personalised pear is ideal for that nook on the garden fence or that perfect spot on the veranda wall.
No experience needed! This relaxed and inclusive workshop is ideal for beginners or anyone wanting a mindful, creative escape. You’ll be guided step-by-step through shaping and embellishing your pear using a mix of natural and repurposed materials, letting your imagination shape your pear.
What you’ll enjoy:
  • Working with recycled Australian fencing wire
  • Decorating and personalising your own supplied pear frame
  • Guidance and inspiration every step of the way
By the end of the session, you’ll take home a beautifully embellished, personalised pear, a rustic creation that reflects your creativity and love for handcrafted art.
Complimentary tea, coffee, and water are provided during the workshop. You’re also very welcome to BYO wine, drinks, and nibbles if you’d like to make it a relaxed creative outing with friends.

FAQ

What to wear?
Comfortable clothes and shoes are best, wire can be very unforgiving on clothing, so nothing fancy is ideal.
Do I need to wear gloves?
Yes! If you would like to wear gloves, we ask you to bring your own sturdy garden style of gloves for hygiene purposes. Some gloves are available, they are washed after each lesson.
Minimum Numbers of Participants?
Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don’t reach this number, we’ll cancel the class; in this case we’ll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class

Accessibility?
Garden of Wire Creative Workshop is located in one of Oberon's old buildings and has some accessibility limitations. The entry is via two low wide steps. The toilet is located outside via two steps, a narrow side pathway and is a "typical" Australian brick outhouse with limited space. We understand this is not ideal but will assist with steadying hands if required.
Term and Conditions?
All bookings are final within 72  hours of your workshop — no refunds, reschedules, or credits can be offered. If you are late or miss your session (no-show), we are unable to refund or reschedule as materials and staffing are prepared in advance. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to 87 Oberon St, Oberon. Thank you for supporting small creative businesses!

Very reasonably priced, drinks and snacks available but we were so busy with our masterpiece we didn’t have time for that.

I started this creative journey as I wanted a calmer way of working, one that gave me space to create, to redefine how I worked, who I worked for and to build something that truly felt worth my time and energy.
My first step was a market stall selling my wire art pieces, inspired by the workshops I had attended myself. As people began asking if I ran workshops and I continued to enjoy attending craft sessions, meeting like-minded people, creating, learning, and connecting, Garden of Wire Craft Workshops was born.
Along the way, I discovered the simple magic of connection: how sitting together with wire, natural elements, beads and quirky craft materials can spark conversation, laughter and a sense of belonging. That’s the heart of my workshops.
I offer whimsical wire art and creative craft classes that are gentle, welcoming, and fun. They’re not about competition or perfection, just about enjoying the process, taking a little time for yourself and connecting with others in a relaxed, supportive, inclusive space.
No experience is needed, just an open mind and a positive attitude. My hope is that you leave not only with something handmade and uniquely yours, but also with a sense of calm, connection and the reminder that creativity is for everyone.
Garden of Wire Creative Workshops can host Birthdays, Hens nights, Date Nights, Christmas parties, Team Building and other private events.
