The Motley Studios is a creative space located in Fitzroy North that houses multiple artist studios, a blank black box creative space, front foyer room, and lots of potential.
Once home to The Motley Bauhaus - a multidisciplinary live venue that moved to a larger space in Carlton in 2021 (please see other listing), this smaller venue has since been hired out for workshops, immersive theatre, rehearsals and meetings.

Not quite commercial gallery, not quite artist run space, The Motley Bauhaus is a new kind of art house. An art, craft and performance centre dedicated to promoting skills based art practices, encouraging intermingling across all disciplines and spreading art like a virus through the community. With a couple of exhibition spaces, workshop space, several studios, a theatre, a podcasting booth and a bar we are providing a space for artists to work, and to share their work and skills with each other the local community and the wider world at large.
