Have you ever thought about making your own knife? Well, join this knife making course today!
We have a friend who is always telling people about how his dad has built a chef knife over 30 years ago that he still uses to this day! Come make a custom knife with us, make some memories and a knife you can pass onto your children who can tell their friends this same story in 30 years time.
In the two-day class, we go through the whole process of making a custom stainless steel knife from start to finish. We have some knife templates to choose from, such as, western chef knives, gyuto, nikari, camping knives and edc knives. You also have the option to bring your own template in and we can work on it together!
On top of this, we will also make a custom resin handle. You will learn how to cast the epoxy resin using mica powders, alcohol inks and acrylic paints to create a vibrate knife handle in the colours of your choice.
We will also practice freehand grinding and how to get a machine finish while we wait for the other knife to be heat treated.
We also now offer free engraving on all class knives. Want your initials or want it to be a gift and have a phrase? We can do it all for you!
Perfect for a Father's Day gift experience, come along to this knife making class with your loved ones.

  • 5/5 from Ryan Boucher, attended Apr 2026: This was a good jumping off point to jump into the knife making world. Shane has structured the course so that you understand the steps along there way to making your own knife. He always explained things well, watched you work and let you make mistakes (and then went and fixed them up, or explained what you were doing wrong) Good workshop with plenty of bench space/ tools/ equipment that allows everyone to work at the same time so that you weren't waiting for anything. He was also mindful of the safety aspect of working so that no one lost any fingers! Well done!
  • 5/5 from Benjamin McCosker, attended Oct 2025: Amazing Class, Myself and my wife attended the class and we left very happy and proud of what we had created. We had no experience making knives and just wanted to have fun and make something we could use at home. The teacher was great and was able to cater to the needs of us beginners and also more experienced people in our group. We learned a lot about knife making and definitely recommend the class.
