3 hours Class size 12 to 40 guests       $90 (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Cut, layer, bind & create a beautifully imperfect journal

Get ready to cut, layer, glue, and create! In this hands-on junk journal workshop, you’ll learn how to bind your own journal pages and construct a soft cover from scratch. We’ll explore simple, beginner-friendly binding techniques while playing with papers, textures, and collage elements to begin the first pages of your one-of-a-kind junk journal.

This workshop is all about creative freedom and experimentation; there’s no right or wrong way to make a junk journal. You’ll be guided step-by-step, with plenty of room to follow your intuition and personal style. You’ll leave with a handmade journal and the skills and confidence to continue creating at home.

You’ll learn:

  • Simple bookbinding techniques using accessible materials
  • How to construct a soft cover from scratch
  • Page layering, collage, and texture-building
  • Ways to continue expanding your junk journal after the workshop

This workshop is perfect for:

  • Beginners with no prior bookbinding experience
  • Journal lovers, writers, collage artists, and mixed-media creatives
  • Anyone who enjoys slow craft, tactile making, and creative play
