In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to create a sterling silver bezel setting for sea glass and transform it into a delicate threader-style necklace. Threader necklaces are designed to slide gracefully through the chain, creating a modern, minimalist piece that moves beautifully when worn.
Sarah will guide you step-by-step through the process of shaping silver, forming a bezel setting, and finishing your piece so your sea glass can be safely and beautifully set.
What you’ll learn:
  • How to create a sterling silver bezel setting for sea glass
  • Techniques for shaping and forming silver
  • How to construct a threader-style necklace
  • Finishing and polishing your jewellery
All tools, materials, and sea glass are provided. If you have a special piece of sea glass you’ve collected, you’re welcome to bring it along to use in your design.
With only four participants per class, you’ll enjoy plenty of one-on-one guidance in a relaxed and creative studio environment.
Perfect for beginners, creative outings with friends, or anyone wanting to turn a piece of the ocean into a unique piece of jewellery.

Sarah Munnings was working in the corporate world of finance and when she was struck down by a devastating mystery illness. Tests, more tests, and months of trips to doctors led to the diagnoses of Fibromyalgia (a chronic pain condition). This led to Sarah to rediscover her creativity as her own personal form of rehabilitation and become a self-taught jeweller who developed a table top jewellery practice in her kitchen.
She now teaches others the amazing creations that can be made using copper, silver and brass. She uses traditional techniques of forging, soldering and texturing metal, and is passionate about using tools that are easily accessible so that her guests at workshops can continue their journey of discovery at home.
