Freestyle Loom Weaving Workshop: Mini Wall Hangings

Freestyle weaving, learning and wall hanging creating in Lawnton

2 hours Class size 10 to 15 guests       $110 (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Weave a small mug rug or wall hanging with freestyle loom weaving. Basic weaving and knotting will be demonstrated, then we will let curiosity and creativity shape your weaving process. Immerse yourself in the freestyle weaving process; don’t worry about “getting it right” and a "neat outcome.” Freestyle weaving lets the colour and textures of the yarn lead. Weave circular, square, or rectangular pieces, and learn how to start and finish your project.
All materials supplied, as well as a simple morning tea (vegan & GF catered for).
Wellbeing benefits of weaving:
  • Colourful, multi-textural yarns encourage calming and grounding.
  • An invitation to move rhythmically, holding gently, releasing, experiencing tension, and slowing down.
  • Weaving encourages rhythmic movements, which may aid in regulating the nervous system.
  • Social connection.
Reflection point: Life is an ever-evolving weaving; we all have threads of stories within us and have ongoing autonomy as authors of our story.
