What you'll do
On the search for relaxing things to do in Glenwood? Learn how to weave at this hands-on class and make your own woven garlic basket or lamp.
During the class, we'll discuss fibre sourcing and preparation before getting into a demonstration of traditional basketry weaving techniques.
You'll learn how to weave the base of your basket or lamp, creating the upsett with 3-rod waling, and then work on the twined sides.
This class is kept small and intimate so you can benefit from patient, individual instruction and attention as you create your weaving. Our workshop space is friendly, peaceful and relaxing. Complimentary food and drinks will be offered throughout the class.
