Looking for unique experiences in Tasmania? Enjoy this engaging tour of Dysart House, a working distillery and taste a range of single malt whiskies while enjoying a Tasmanian antipasto platter!
Dysart house in Kempton has been home to Old Kempton Distillery since November 2015. A variety of spirits including; single malt whisky, gin, liqueurs and schnapps are all made on-site using 100 per cent Tasmanian ingredients. In this tour and tasting, you will get the opportunity to go behind the scenes and access the distillery and bond store in a whole new way.
The bond store is full of maturing Whisky and barrels of all different shapes and sizes, plus you might even hear a few ghost stories! Each tour is unique and an amazing opportunity to see how a distillery runs on a day to day basis.
Following your tour, you can take a seat in one of the stunning tasting rooms, located in the grand coaching inn that is the Old Kempton cellar door.
Your tour will finish with a guided tasting of a variety of four Old Kempton Distillery Single Malt Whiskies and a Tasmanian antipasto platter.

Using Tasmanian barley and water to make smooth, caramel and spice single malts, this small craft distillery offers hands-on learning experiences, giving you a backstage pass into the intricate workings of a whisky distillery.
Located in an 1840s mansion in the picturesque town of Kempton, Old Kempton Distillery welcomes you to take a closer look into the fascinating process of creating spirits. Although whisky is the focus, Old Kempton also makes gins and liqueurs on-site, giving you a broad insight into the methods of distillation.
