About this venue
Whitepoint Studios offers 150sqm of light-filled, versatile space in Reservoir — a purpose-built photography studio suited to hands-on photography workshops. With a cyclorama and 12 curated sets and rain room, participants can move between setups to practise lighting, posing and composition in a real studio environment rather than a classroom setting. The space is equally well suited for photographers looking to host their own workshops, offering a professional, fully equipped setting for teaching lighting, posing and studio technique to their own students. Ground-floor access and on-site parking (3–4 spaces) make it easy for attendees to arrive and unload gear without hassle. Special rates are available for students and creatives.

Your host
I have been(still am) a working photographer since 2006. Photography started as a passion/hobby for me which gradually morphed into a business. I did start off in the film days shooting events and images for book publishers. I moved into weddings and photographed a helluva lot of them until pretty much retiring from that genre just before the pandemic to concentrate on my Corporate work with Headshots, editorial and event work. In amongst all of that I did do a number of years in Camera retail here and in Melbourne and Sydney before that.
